In 1996 when we wanted to start a school in Tiruvallur, we really wanted the same to be not merely a school but a ‘Movement on Personality Development and Parents Empowerment’. We know that starting a CBSE School in a village like Tiruvallur was an ambitious project. Many called it was a ‘crazy’ idea. But we were determined to pursue our mission.
When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bounds. Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties, and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.
We also know that for giving shape to such a lofty ambition called for not merely concrete structures and classrooms, but the guidance and mentoring of people who had already done it. We were very lucky to have had the emotional and leadership support of Padmashri Dr. Mrs. YG. Parthasarathy, the Dean and Director of PSBB Group of Schools, Chennai. Her model of combining the rich Indian cultural values and very high academic excellence in her Padma Seshadri Group of Schools attracted us and we wanted to emulate the same.
But for the guidance and support of Padmashri. Dr. Mrs. ‘YGP’, we could not have built our image and reputation as an education institute where the focus is more personality building and value education in addition to high academic excellence.
The next important person to whom we should ever be grateful is Mr. S. Varadarajan, Secretary, DAV School, Adambakkam, Chennai. In 2002 we wanted to start our Sri RM Jain Vidhyapeeth , an exclusive school for Plus 1 and Plus 2 classes under the Tamil Nadu Govt. Syllabus. He guided us not only to get the affiliation but also to offer professional advice to implement a highly effective academic programme which helps our students to score very high marks.
